Michael Rybinski-Human Perception

1/24/13
In my reading I have learned about two different perspectives on how humans perceive the objects around them. Two philosophers that have different opinions are Heidegger and Kant. Kant believed that objects manifest themselves as categories of thought, which in turn become concepts of intellect. Heidegger argued that objects manifest themselves in a whole context of relations to other worldly entities. These two differing opinions can have a drastic impact on how humans classify beauty, although in my opinion different people see beauty in different ways, so its hard to define beauty as one way or the other.
