In my reading and class discussion this week
we have explored the role of poetry and art. The poet is a person who controls
the power of words. Words can evolve to mean something completely different
from their original meaning through poetic verse. I have seen more of this in
my study of haikus , which have a limited number of words and symbols which can
be used within the format. Because of this limited structure, words held within
it often have many meanings all at the same time.
