But all this is only a small portion of art by which we communicate with one another in life." -Tolstoy Fashion is the ultimate aesthetic experience for humans, it is a medium that appeals to the human emotions and helps define one’s identity. Some may argue that search for beauty in fashion is superficial. Yet, humans continue to put emphasis on the value on the aesthetics of fashion. This phenomenon is not only seen in the western world but through out all cultures. Fashion is the quintessential way of expressing beauty. Clothing is just one aspect of fashion that depicts a way for humans to communicate a message. We always try to dress to impress. We put on fancy clothes for special occasions, communicating the importance of an event. We breakout our best cloths for weddings, church, and other formal events. Fashion is the ultimate expression of art that communicates human emotions. It expresses the feelings of individual societies. It transforms through time. Fashion provides individual identity at the same time connects an individual at a subliminal level.
