Jem Kamran- objective vs. subjective

In class we talked about the struggle between subjectivity of art vs. objectivity. I think we talked about how art can't truly be objective. We always bring ourselves into the art even when we are just looking at it. We bring in our expertise and our knowledge; and our emotions. Therefore we never experience art objectively. We do occasionally experience ourselves confronting objects for example when we try learn how paint or draw realistically. But even then we are limited, because our representation of the object would never be able to mimic the original. Even when we try we bring our subjectivity to it.
