Luke Jeffery - There Is Beauty All Around Me (A Poem)

As I wake up, I notice,
There is beauty all around me!
So often I forget that right beside me grows a green tree that gives a cardinal a home.
So often I forget that the sun rises every morning to greet me!
When I go down to the river to watch the tides, I find hundreds of organisms interacting with each other.
I find life surrounding me.

There is beauty all around me!
What am I to do? I do not know.
How can I express my joy, my love for the One who is behind all this?
My soul jumps inside of me as I try to find the proper response.
But alas my soul, there is none.
There is no response but to worship Him. For He is the Fount of All Beauty.

There is beauty all around me! 

My soul sings, for I know my Creator. He is the one who is above all things.

He knows each of these organisms, each tree, each bird.

He knows the flow of the tides.

And He knows me.

I am His, He is mine. Together we will live forever.
