Telvin Harrell: Simple Art

There a lot of perspective when it comes to art, but most people can agree that art is a form of expression.

The expression of art, in various forms, can spark a lot of philosophical debate and questions from viewers but, is it the art that pushes towards the abstract and simple that sparks the most philosophical debate; pushing people to stop and think? Some art works are lavished with fancy brush strokes, and techniques to enhance the beauty of the artwork to the viewer, but the simple block or blob of paint inspires the viewer to not only wonder what the painter was thinking but what it the purpose of the art work.

Artwork with fancy brush strokes can also spark philosophical debate and encourage people to think by portraying a subject to be pondered. But, I think the abstract, weird, and strange is what automatically pulls people past the distraction of the beauty to the thought of the reason and purpose of the artwork. So all that view that piece of art are not caught up by the technique and style but focusing on the questions that remain behind the artwork.
