The Title - Kakerlaken (Pronounce Kakulaka) is German for COCKROACHES
Since a definite definition of Art does not exist I guess Art can be a variety of things.... no matter how disgusting.
In response to the in class discussion of the cockroach, I decided to do some research. Despite the high level of bacteria carried by the cracked and fissured exoskeleton of the cockroach there is an artist that uses this repulsive creature to make artwork.
Is it Artwork of Not? Does it matter even if its made from cockroaches?
His Name is Fabian Pena and he brings artwork from the Grotesque. Pena is from Cuba but currently resides in Miami and creates artwork from the wings of cockroaches, and houseflies. His artwork bring together popular culture, nature, cockroaches, and houseflies all unified in harmony.
