Devin McGinnis: The little things

What is a perfect example of a re-presentation of what is ultimately beautiful? Is it a large donation to a charity? Or, could it be humanitarian aid to some third world country?  Or maybe it is a sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.  While I think these aforementioned examples are great, I am not sure they are the best examples of a re-presentation of what is ultimately beautiful that we can come up with.  In life, I find that it is the little things that are more beautiful and thus a better example, like the smile from a stranger or kind word from a friend.  It is these things that keep us searching for what is ultimately beautiful. It is this search for beauty that keeps us going, or possibly the hope that one day we will find it. Until we find it all we have are the little things. These little things take the form of so many things.  They are a life long friendship, the feeling of sand beneath your feet, or even the love of a spouse.  They are a clear starry night around a campfire with a cold beer, a good cigar, and the best of friends.
