What was your beginning? -- Personal Choice

“What was your beginning? Was it at conception, birth, first thought, or realization of plot?

In class and after class I played with this question and explored its meaning.  Eventually, I determined that my answer does not lie within the previously suggested responses.  I believe that God is eternal and is never surprised, meaning that He knows all things.  I believe that I am made in God’s image and I have existed as a mere thought in His mind for eternity.  In Ephesians 1:4 the author, Paul writes “For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight.” To me, this means that I was fully known and loved by God way before I was even conceived in my mother’s womb.  The God of the universe knew me and chose me before the world was created and that is where I began!
