It has always struck me that in some cultures, food is a symbol of art. People bring food in a mourning situation when it comes to funerals, and people bring food to celebrating events such as wedding parties or birthdays. This is supposed to symbolize their love for someone, whether is be condolences or congratulations. Nowadays, food can even be formed to look like a bouquet of flowers. Since basically anything can qualify as art, food can as well; it's something we as human beings all share an interest in and need in our lives to survive.
